This is an excellent form of hormone replacement that is released over a 3 month period.
They are pressed hormones that are approximately a tic tac in size. You may receive one pellet

BIOIDENTICAL HORMONE PELLET THERAPY AND PROCEDURES
 

• We will see you in the office for an initial visit/physical and lab work (This is billed through your insurance) 

 

• Other tests required:

  • If you are female, we need a recent pap and mammogram.  You can get these through our office or your regular physician/practitioner.

  • If you are male, a prostate exam plus PSA level is required if you are over 50 years old.  You can get this through our office or your regular physician/practitioner.

• After all results have been received and reviewed at our office, the second office visit will be scheduled.
  At this visit, the pellets will be inserted. The cost of the pellets and insertion are not run through your
  insurance and are your responsibility. However, the actual visit will be billed to your insurance.

​

• Females: The pellets will be effective for up to 3 months and the cost is $300.  Your insurance will be billed an office visit, and you are responsible for any copay your insurance requires.

• Males: The pellets will be effective for up to 3-4 months and the cost is $350.  Your insurance will be billed an office visit, and you are responsible for any copay your insurance requires.
